WJ-2022 Potassium Silicate Stabilized
Description
WJ-2022 is a stabilized potassium silicate produced using a special process. Through stabilization treatment, it achieves a new generation of product that combines high silica content (i.e., low alkali content) with exceptional stability.
WJ-2022 is particularly well-suited for the formulation of silicate-based inorganic architectural coatings. When blended with a small amount of organic emulsion, it can be used as either an exterior or interior wall paint or primer, offering excellent adhesion to concrete or cement-based substrates and superior inorganic coating properties, such as fire resistance, breathability, mold resistance, weather resistance, and more.
WJ-2022 can also be used as a surface hardening agent for cement concrete substrates or diatomaceous earth coatings, effectively sealing against efflorescence and hardening the surface while preventing powdering.

Product Features
WJ-2022 exhibits high hardness after curing and forms an integral bond with inorganic substrates, thus minimizing the impact of substrate conditions on the coating and ensuring a long service life. The silicate coating system using WJ-2022 demonstrates excellent storage stability and does not experience post-thickening or gelation.

Usage Notes
1. WJ-2022 is a high-alkalinity material, and the organic emulsion and additives used in conjunction with it must be resistant to strong alkalis. WJ-2022 is typically added last to the already diluted emulsion. Before use, please first conduct a compatibility test with the emulsion.
2. When formulating, please refer to the “Recommendations for Use of WJ Series Silicate Inorganic Resins.”
Packaging and Product Shelf Life
In 30kg, 230kg, and 1200kg drums: Shelf life is 12 months.
Storage and transportation
Store in a cool, sealed container to prevent moisture evaporation.
